At the beginning of 2009, Armin Sonnenschein set out to build the most stable and versatile harmonica rack in the world and in April he was able to deliver the first SLK Sonnenschein Harmonica Rack.
The Alpha series was already sold out in summer, much faster than one could expect with the high price due to the small series.
At the same time he not only received suggestions from the buyers, but also a lot of professional players gave their input.
In the end, there were so many that Armin Sonnenschein decided to throw all plans overboard and rework the entire owner.
The result was impressive.
Without neglecting the holder's basic idea of extreme stability at an acceptable weight, three adjustment axes had now become four.
The SLK Sunshine Harmonica Rack V2.0 was also quickly sold out.
After 10 years it is now time to rework the holder once again. Many users found the wide version of the clamp, which can also be used to clamp chromatic harmonicas, too bulky. And again and again the question arose whether one could not find a construction with which the SLK-Sonnenschein Harmonica Rack could remember the once adjusted position in front of the mouth.
The SLK-Sonnenschein Harmonica Rack V3.0, which is launched in 2020, now has the narrow holder for Bluesharps with the option to have the wide holder mounted as well.
The holder can be opened with one hand and, unlike magnetic holders, also clamps harmonicas with covers made of brass, wood or plastic.
Furthermore, the front mechanism has been equipped with a square bar made of V2A, so that the holder reaches more tosional stiffness in the printed aluminium joints.
And there is the "Memory Stop", with which the once adjusted angle of the holder always remains the same, no matter whether you fold the rack or fold it down onto your chest during breaks in play.
In this way, the SLK Sunshine Harmonica Rack remains possibly of the most innovative harmonica holder on the market.
